An epic drama, which takes place thousands of years before the events of “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” by J. R. R. The cast of “The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power” and other actors who have completely transformed for their roles.
Amazon’s initial plan to acquire television rights to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by J
RR Tolkien’s novels was to make the series a new adaptation of the latter (actually a retelling of Gospodar prstenova: Prstenova družina (2001), Gospodar prstenova: Dvije kule (2002) and Gospodar prstenova: Povratak kralja (2003)), but Tolkien’s heirs rejected this proposal. Amazon eventually got the right on the condition that the series would differ from Peter Jackson’s earlier adaptations, and that they could not contradict anything Tolkien had previously written. Early ideas that were floated included prequel stories featuring characters like Aragorn, Gimli, and Gandalf, but the showrunners preferred to focus on important untold events from the novels’ history rather than simple side stories, so they agreed with the studio that the series will happen during the Second Age of Books. Since they didn’t have the rights to Tolkien’s The Silmarillion, The Unfinished Tales, and A History of Middle-earth (which explore the First and Second Ages), they checked the Lord of the Rings novels and appendices for passages about and references to the Second Age.

As a Lord of the Rings fan, I looked forward to stories about the origin of Middle-earth. Of course, I have high expectations after The Lord of the Rings, which is close to perfection in terms of timing and fiction. Since they have a significant budget and opportunities, that’s why I gave my points after watching the first episode right away. Although this is the first part, I can say that I really liked the first part.

Galadriel’s character could be stronger, but she is still successful. Over time, we better get attached to the characters. Look at the cast of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” in all their most iconic roles: from Morfidd Clarke in “Saint Maude” to Benjamin Walker in “President Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” and others.
